Happy New Year!
Whew! We have been busy. I can't quite seem to be able to set the necessary time aside to upload photos and update the blog. Never fear, most photos are now on our computer, so the next step is loading them onto flickr. Hopefully that process won't take two months. I also intend to post pictures from our trip to Indiana, BUT it's not going to happen today.
This post is to let everyone know that we're still kicking. We had a wonderful Christmas. Craig and I were beyond happy to be able to stay in our own home for the holiday. Watching Grace come down the stairs on Christmas morning to see what Santa brought her was priceless. It was also great to have my family here to share our joy. Aunt Betsy came from Savannah, and Uncle Matt, Grandma and Grandpa made the trek from Mt. Dora. We missed Uncle Paul and Aunt Wendy, but we plan to share a white Christmas with them sometime in the future.
Back in the days when I blogged daily, I always had cute Grace stories to share. Now the backlog is so long, I'm not even sure where to start. Christmas day alone provided enough memories to last a long time. In any case, last night we took Grace to watch the Mercer Women's basketball team. The highlight of which, at least in her mind, was dancing to the music during commercial break. She clued into the game once or twice, but eating popcorn and sliding around on the chairs was too much fun to pay close attention. The basketball team didn't do very well (the men are much better, we hear), so we'll have to attend another game soon. Regardless, we do know that Grace prefers watching B-Ball over sitting through a choir concert (something we tried and failed to do in November).
Craig is back at work getting ready for the semester. It's going to be a busy one. He has three classes (one more than last semester). He'll be booked every day (last sememster his Thursdays were clear). I am gearing up to deal with the increased anxiety that will inevitably come. It's likely that his workload will preclude many trips to the doctor with me, though he and Grace are going to accompany me on Friday to watch the ultrasound. Yes, I almost forgot, I'm still pregnant. Twenty weeks and counting. We will get our first lengthy glimpse at baby. We are more tempted this time around to find out baby's sex, but my gut feeling is that we'll wait. What's another twenty weeks.....just long enough to drive some of our friends and family nuts.
That's the scoop. Next time look for pictures.
Ready for Christmas Eve Dinner
