Happy Halloween, 2006

At the Byron house we've been celebrating Halloween since Sunday. We started with a Halloween Carnival sponsored by the Knight Foundation for our neighborhood. While the Knight Foundation provided the cash, we provided the manpower. For two and a half hours I painted zombies and clowns on small faces, and Craig ran pumpkin bowling (yes, it's just what you would imagine). We also had a cake walk, a mummy wrap, a candy corn toss, and bobbing for apples. It was crazy, exhausting, and fun. We had a really good turn out, and we hope that in the future we'll get more neighbors involved in the planning.

To celebrate the season today, we met up with our new friends, the Jordan Family, and attended Mercer's Harvest Fest. Below are two videos of our fun. The first shows Craig and Grace practicing how to say "Trick or Treat". The second shows Grace and Evan greeting eachother on campus.

Tomorrow we will actually do some limited Trick or Treating. We will stop in to see Grace's favorite neighbors, Yosi and Aaron, and then visit another neighbor, Jeremy. At this point Grace has had enough candy to last a year! Happy Halloween to all!
